	کتاب پیش رو پیرامون تاریخ زنان ایران در عصر تیموری پرداخته و نگارش یافته است. در این پژوهش ابتدا نگاهی به سیر تحول پایگاه اجتماعی زنان نموده و سپس زمینه‌های شکل‌گیری فعالیت زنان در جامعه ایران را مورد بررسی قرار می‌دهد. در ادامه نگارنده به مشارکت سیاسی زنان در عصر تیموری اشاره کرده و قدرت و نفوذ سیاسی گوهرشاد را مورد ملاحظه قرار می‌دهد. در پایان این نوشتار با توجه به نهاد خانواده از حیث فرهنگ و مذهب، به فعالیت‌های زنان خاندان تیموری در عرصه هنر می‌پردازد و فعالیت زنان در نهضت حروفیه ازجمله عناوین قابل‌ذکر در این تحقیق می‌باشد.
