Divan Shams or the Summa of Shams Tabrizi is a collection of poems by Rumi Jalaluddin Rumi and a masterpiece of wisdom and eloquence. Since the majority of the poems in this divan are about Shams Tabrizi, this divan is called Divan Shams.
In the poems of Divan Shams, Rumi has expressed wisdom and spirituality at the highest possible level using worldly words and imagery.
While many poets try to express their mystical insights in understandable language, Rumi has never tried to bring his insights to the worldly level. Understanding his poems requires a high degree of spiritual understanding, and perhaps this is why there are so many layers to his poetry. Not because of the way he writes, but because of our low understanding. The further we go in understanding spiritual concepts, the more and more we will become aware of what he was trying to convey to us.
The exquisite book Divan Shams Tabrizi Payam Adalat is among the best copies available in the market, published in a hardcover and frame, and in burnt brown. The binding of this book is sewn and white writing paper was used for its printing. The best version of the book "Kaliyat Shams" was published under the correction of the famous Iranian professor and Rumi scholar, Badi'-e-Zaman Forozanfar. Forozanfar worked on the correction of this book from 1399 to 1345 and finally published it in the form of 9 booklets through the University of Tehran. In this correction, he carefully deleted all the additional poems attributed to Rumi from the book and Arabized similar Arabic and Persian words. The version corrected by Forozanfar is considered the most complete and accurate version of the Divan of Shams.
The book "Kaliyat Shams" Tabrizi, published by Payam-e-Adalat, has been published in 1568 pages in Vaziri type, in accordance with the version corrected by Professor Badi'-e-Zaman Forozanfar. |
